One of my favorite parts of spring is when the peepers start making noise. That's right during maple boiling time and I love the jingling of the frogs and the smell of the maple sap boiling down over the syrup fires. At dusk the peepers ramp up their song and if you listen closely through the jingling, right about dark, you can hear the flight song of the woodcocks. Not long after that, things start blooming and we zoom into summer.
