Finding Clarity
You know something's not working, but you can't see why. You’re frustrated. Anxious. You're stuck in complexity and overwhelm, and you just need clarity. Someone to help you get to the core of it and find your way forward.
I help you find clarity. Through questions and easy conversation, I see the patterns beneath the overwhelm—whether it's tangled systems, too many options, or something you can't quite name. Together, we clarify what's actually there, simplify what's complex, and identify your path forward.
I can do this because I've spent my life finding patterns and creating clarity across wildly different domains—linguistics, trauma, color theory, business systems, art, community. Whether I'm facilitating conversations, designing instruction, building communities, or writing poetry, I'm doing the same thing: making sense of complexity and helping you see what's actually there.
Here's what that looks like:
Facilitation: I work with business people looking to get unstuck - identifying obstacles and options and a path forward. I also work with women looking to find clarity in their lives amid personal struggles. Using art as a tool, I reflect with them, so they can find a deeper connection with themselves and cut through the overwhelm. No fixing, just understanding.
Instructional Design: I've been writing courses since my academic days—linguistics, ESL, color theory, art critique, public speaking, happiness, online business setup. Currently, I develop systems for helping people learn, build and use complex technology.
Community Development: I work with content creators to build online communities where members can share ideas, get support, and connect. These communities include multiple layers of engagement, monthly challenges, mini courses, and fully developed onboarding systems.
Writing: I write deeply personal poetry about surviving, living with, and healing from trauma. If anything, this is most illustrative of my ability to find clarity in chaos. I also wrote a daily blog about country life and beekeeping (8 years), and spent a year writing weekly personal essays on mindset.
The Foundation: PhD in Linguistics from Indiana University (1992), specialty in conversation analysis. Taught at IU until 2013. I've also taught color theory to help artists not be overwhelmed by color in their work.
My Work
Sit Down & Talk
I spend time with people helping them think through places where they feel stuck. No pressure. No fixing. Just clarity.
Communities
The power of healthy communities cannot be overstated. I build online communities with a structure that is easy to manage and easy to use, even for tech shy members.
Instructional Design
You’ve got content and you want to get it out there. I polish existing content or build courses from scratch and get them on a platform where you can easily sell and manage them.
